Tae Kwon Do South Tampa

Students must observe and obey all instructions and rules.

 

  • Show respect and follow instructions of all instructors and black belts, addressing them as Sir or Ma'am. Your chief instructor is to be addressed as Kyosah-Nim. Grand Master Kwon is to be addressed as Kwon-Sahbum-Nim.

  • All students and instructors will come to attention and bow when entering and leaving the training area, the dojang (school) and before addressing black belts and/or instructors.

  • Be on time for all classes... if student is late to class for any reason, they will wait (in uniform) at the edge of the training area until given permission to enter the class.

  • Unless otherwise instructed, students will stand when addressing instructors or senior black belts.

  • If called on by an instructor or senior black belt and more than 3 steps are required to position yourself in front of them, student will run!!

  • Do-Bok (uniform) will be kept clean and worn during all classes... only white uniforms are allowed. You must wear the school patch on the left chest of the uniform. The Korean flag will be on the left arm and American flag on the right arm.

  • Keep finger and toe nails trimmed and smooth

  • Jewelry, watches, rings etc.. or any harmful objects or shoes will not be worn in the training area.

  • No food or gum will be allowed in the training area. No Smoking at anytime in or around the dojang.

  • Conversation, comments or horseplay will not be tolerated in the training area during class.

  • All senior students will endeavor to help the junior students learn (this is part of Tae Kwon-Do tradition). You must ask permission from your instructor before teaching.

  • All students will respect each other and endeavor to keep the dojang as they would their own house.

  • Questions are encouraged before and after class not during.

  • Tae Kwon-Do or any other form of self defense will only be used as a means of self defense to protect your family, yourself and the weak

  • Free sparing will not be practiced without permission from your chief black belt instructor.

  • During the absence of the instructor, the higher rank in seniority will teach the class. Students must obey him or her.
